What is Ultherapy®? Ultherapy is a procedure on the Ulthera device (USA), which is based on exposure to focused ultrasonic waves at the SMAS level.

What is SMAS? S-superficial M-muscular A-aponeurotic S-system (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) is a structure that covers the facial muscles of the face and connects them to the dermis. SMAS consists of collagen and elastin fibers. The main function of SMAS is holding, which allows for a clear oval of the face.

How does Ultherapy work? The ultrasonic wave, penetrating into the skin, is focused, at a clearly defined depth, creates heating zones and starts the natural processes of restoration and formation of new collagen. Ultherapy® stimulates collagen production and strengthens the skin at the SMAS level and is one of the progressive methods of non-surgical rejuvenation and lifting.
